Get involved and Move Beyond Church

Ministries at Emmanuel

At Emmanuel we desire for people to find a safe place to journey with others. There is no obligation to serve, but when you are ready we would love for you to chip in. Fill out a volunteer application, connect with ministry leadership, and begin to serve at Emmanuel.

Local Opportunities

We partner with many local organizations and they offer opportunities for us to be involved in our neighborhood to help those who need help. Below you will find the organizations we work with – they often have a need for volunteers and many at Emmanuel are engaged with these organizations.

Global Mission

We have ministry partners in Ukraine, Zambia, the Middle East, Europe and organizations that reach into all parts of the globe. Although more difficult to be engaged hands on, we do partner with organizations that enable those interested to travel abroad and engage in mission.

Local Engagement Opportunities

Harbor House

Harbor House is a social service agency dedicated to helping those who are most vulnerable. We serve the homeless, hungry and poor by mobilizing the power of the local community. Working with those that are in poverty means we are working with those who struggle with food and housing insecurity, unemployment, addiction, mental illness & abuse. These problems continue generationally & we aim to end this cycle. Emmanuel provides a hot meal on the second

Sunday of each month and the second Thursday of every other month. Contact the "Emmanuel Lead" for details on how to participate.

Manna

Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank is a unique food pantry started more than 50 years ago to support families in the Conejo Valley that were struggling with food insecurity. We serve an average of 180 families each month and distribute more than 225,000 lbs. of food.
Manna serves as a safety net for our neighbors struggling to make ends meet due to job loss, underemployment, disability or fixed incomes.

Emmanuel is a site where you can bring donations. Bring food/goods to church on Sunday and leave it on the table in the narthex (lobby). We'll deliver it to Manna.

TEAM

TEAM, The Evangelical Alliance Mission, began in 1890 as one man’s dream to send 100 missionaries to China. Today, it’s a global missions agency that partners with local churches to send missionaries and plant reproducing churches around the world. Our missionaries have a passion to go where the most people have the greatest need. They serve through church planting, community development, healthcare, social justice, business as mission and more. But whatever their ministry, each missionary has the same goal: proclaiming the Gospel in word and deed. Today, more than 575 TEAM missionaries and staff serve in more than 35 countries. TEAM works alongside nationals to serve the people of Central Asia through healthcare and education, building credibility through dedicated service to the Muslim community. We are also involved in community development, including renewable energy projects. TEAM provides a witness for Jesus Christ through loving service, Christ-like example, and sensitive proclamation.
